An Unusual & Insanely Profitable Type Of Joint Venture

Joint-Venturing doesn't end on asking a Guru to endorse your stuff. But that's what the majority of people in the Internet marketing world focus on.

Here's an unusual & insanely profitable kind of JV:

Co-author with a Guru.

Yes, you better know what your stuff. And no – it’s not for you if you aren’t damn serious. Because it takes a lot of work & brings in a lot of cash. Not for the easy-goers.

But why would the guru want to do this?
Because it saves them time & gets them easy bucks!

Every guru has at least a dozen product ideas that they doesn't have time for. If you offer
to do all the work & still give them 60% or more - there's no way they're going to miss it!

You can also make a product specifically FOR one guru's audience. But that's another story.

Here's a tip: Ask the guru for an unfinished product.

Many gurus start a product but for some reason it's pushed aside half-way down. They want that product to see the light of the day but they don't have time for it or maybe they've just moved on.

But if you offer to complete that product, they will love you for it!

Take all the work on yourself. From finishing the product to writing the sales copy & auto-responder messages. Save them the headache, their time, energy & money - & they'll be happy to co-author with you.

What’s in it for you? (as if you need to ask!)

Because just one product can launch you to stardom. When people see you co-authored an ebook with a successful guru - you get instant credibility. And of course the money comes rolling in faster than you can count - because the guru obviously has a loyal following.

And then people will be contacting YOU for joint-ventures! The credibility, the money, the contacts - it's all worth it.

There are many examples of people who launched their online this way. From Tellman Knudson to Patric Chan & more. Here are 3 case-studies:

- Jim Edwards.

I can't say if he launched his online career this way. But this guy has authored at least half a dozen books with the top guns in this industry.

The one that gave him the first real boost was "How to write an ebook in 7 days or less” that he co-authored with Joe Vitale.

The story is - Jim Edwards asked Joe Vitale to give him any old document of him that he could turn into an ebook. After constant request - Joe gave him a book he authored long ago - on how to write a book in a record time.

Jim edited it a bit & then turned it into "How to write an ebook in 7 days or less". It became an instant best seller & gave Jim his first shot of fame.

Since then - Jim has co-authored with more Gurus than I can count. And today he's a big Guru himself! Smart, eh?

- Larry Dotson

His story is so simple - it'd be hard to believe.

Larry wrote a swipe file of hypnotic words & phrases. Then he wrote to Joe Vitale that since 'hypnotic' is his brand - Joe can review it & if he wants - add some hypnotic phrases himself & they'll co-author it.

Joe agreed & yes 'hypnotic swipe file' sold like crazy. Today Larry got 4-6 other hypnotic ebooks co-authored with Joe.

Nitro marketing that multi-million-dollar IM company promotes 90% of Joe Vitale's products including the ones he co-authored with Larry.

So Larry's being promoted by nitro-marketing & he’ll keep getting royalty from them for decades to come.

Last year - Joe said he hasn't seen, met or even heard Larry’s voice! I doubt if they've even met now - yet the story & success is astonishing.

- Tellman Knudson.

Tellman is an NLP expert. I don't know how he got his start online but his first few products where - 'Think like' series.

He did it Chip Traver, Shawn Casey, Joe Vitale & probably others. The one that got famous was ‘Think like Joe Vitale'.

Another product he did was 'Nitro Mindset' with the nitro marketing guys. Then he started "List Crusade" where he interviewed (& still does) gurus every week.

These are all different kinds of JVs. Not the usual milking-the-big-guru please-endorse-me type of ones. I can't say if this way is harder or easier but one thing is for sure - they 10x more profitable.

Enjoy the success by co-authoring with the big gurus!

9 Reasons To Do Joint Venture Deals On eBay

eBay is THE most popular home business in the USA, but it's not without its problems. Many have tried to succeed but have failed due to confusion over what products to sell, giant numbers of competitors, copy and picture theft from other sellers and eBay and Paypal that eat into profits.

One way to avoid this swamp, though, is to do a Joint Venture with established eBay sellers. This allows a JV partner to build her own mailing list and sell products off eBay.

There are multiple advantages to this way of doing business on eBay:

1. The biggest uncertainty for would-be eBay sellers is what products to sell. Sometimes vendors risk large sums of money on untried products, only to lose their investment, become sour and give up. With a Joint Venture there is no risk except for a few hours of time.

2. Since there are no auctions listed on eBay, no one can steal copy or pictures from JV sellers - because there is nothing to copy. In effect, we become invisible - no one even knows we exist and this hidden aspect has many advantages.

3. eBay JVs are usually done with a digital product that can be instantly downloaded. This is great for any entrepreneur because inexpensive autoresponders mean that her entire business is handled via autopilot. Contrast this with the usual way of doing business on eBay which involves mailing dozens, hundreds or even thousands of boxes.

4. eBay and Paypal have lots of rules. It's easy to break some unwittingly, and even the most honest seller does so from time to time. A JV merchant isn't answerable to eBay, however, but only to her customers.

5. A JV seller never directly lists on eBay, thus avoiding eBay and Paypal fees.

6. Successful Powersellers have large numbers of customers and there are lots of administrative details involved. Implementing a sales system can cost time and money because without attention to detail packages won't be mailed in a timely fashion, payments won't be accurate, items will be sent to the wrong buyers, and so on. A JV partner eliminates all of that because all transactions can be funneled through a hands-off system.

7. eBay selling lives or dies through the 'feedback' system. Negative feedback can kill sales instantly and lack of feedback causes buyers to hesitite and choose other sellers. Feedback is totally irrelevant to a Joint Venture seller because she is using the reputation of carefully chosen other sellers. She knows in advance that their feedback is high quality or she doesn't do deals with them.

8. Inexperienced sellers sometimes drag wiser merchants into price wars. In a panic over sales, they foolishly slash prices, beginning a chain reaction that results in bare bones bids that allow no one to make any money. A Joint Venture seller floats serenely above such hiccups in the marketplace.

9. Best of all, a JV seller doesn't settle for a one time sale. She concentrates her efforts on a mailing list of happy customers that she can sell to again and again and again. In this way, not only is she ensuring repeate profits, but she gets paid for creating this list, rather than having to pay someone else for names.

With its 147,000,000 registered users, eBay is the best source of targeted, Net-savvy buyers on the web. By putting together Joint Venture deals with established sellers, anyone can add large numbers of qualified buyers to their database efficiently and inexpensively.

A Long-Term Strategy For Securing Affiliate & Joint Venture Details

If you want star affiliates in your market to join your affiliate and promote your products, you really have to go out and find them. You can certainly promote your affiliate program on your own website and to get people to sign up, but the best results come when you go out and find your own joint venture partners…and it sounds like you already understand that.

You can find potential partners by finding websites that:

- Have good website traffic
- Have decent sized email lists
- Target your buying audience

How do you find these people?

- Go to your favorite search engine and see which sites come up near the top for your target keywords.

- Check their ESTIMATED traffic ranking at Alexa.com – this site very roughly estimates how popular a site is based on traffic and page views. The lower the ranking number, the busier the site. This is not a foolproof method, but can be used as a guideline to compare websites in similar markets.

- See which sites link to your competition. Go to Google or Yahoo and type in the following: link:yourcompetitorsdomain.com. Just substitute "yourcompetitorsdomain.com" with your competitor’s actual domain name. The results that show up will be sites that link to your competitor. You will potentially find some good sites to partner with here.

- Check DMOZ.org and the Yahoo Directory for websites in an appropriate category for your market.

How do you approach these people?

The common method of many website owners is to send a mass email to entice the webmaster with the lure of commission. Of course, you should make every effort to get a first name to personalize the email and use your Autoresponder to automatically add their name into your email. Include information like their first name, their website URL and any other personal details you can include.

This method will get you the most partners for the least amount of time and effort. Of course, if there are some websites that you REALLY want to say yes, you will need a more personal touch. Realize that in competitive markets, these webmasters probably receive many joint venture requests and yours might be sent to the trash, along with the rest.

If you want to be taken seriously:

- Offer to send them your product for free so they can review it – or just mail it to them right away without any expectations. Even if they can’t promote your product now, if you treat them cordially, they might just promote your product down the line.

- Show them that you know something about their business and comment specifically on some of the projects they are working on or some of their products that you have purchased

- Do something for them first. List them as a recommended resource on your website, etc., and tell them about it.

- Pick up the phone and develop a relationship. Perhaps you can offer to promote his or her product first, instead of asking for a favor right away. Don’t be in a rush to get them to promote your product or you may just burn your bridges completely.

- Show them proven results of other affiliates or illustrate how well your website converts visitors to sales.

Overall, realize that you're probably going to get a lot of "Nos" before you get to the "Yesses". Don't take it personally because people are busy and they can't promote every product that comes their way. Just be open to developing relationships as that is the best long-term strategy in finding great JV partners.
